Serves: 5


  • rolled oats/instant porridge oats – 40g (5 tbsp)
  • Water/milk 200 ml (1 cup)
  • Yogurt 70g (3 tbsp)
  • Baobab powder 10g (1tbsp)
  • Milled flax or chia seeds 5g (1tsp)
  • Sweetener of choice; eg. Agave syrup, coconut nectar
  • Toppings of choice; eg. Strawberries, banana, chocolate, peanut butter


  1. Mix oats with water or milk and bring to boil.
  2. Smmer for 5 minutes stirring occasionally until the porridge reaches the desired thickness.
  3. Take away from the stove, stir in seeds, yogurt, sweetener and baobab powder.
  4. Transfer the porridge into a bowl and serve with a selection of your favourite toppings.
  5. Replace yogurt or milk with soy or coconut alternative to make your porridge vegan.
