- Dates – 175 g
- Porridge Oats – 90g
- Coconut Oil – 30g
- Cocoa Powder – 28g
- Desiccated Coconut – 40g
- Baobab Powder – 20g
- Chopped Peanuts (optional)
- Soak dates in hot water for at least 10 minutes, drain and transfer to a bowl.
- Using a hand Blender, blend the dates until smooth texture obtained.
- Add all the remaining ingredients in a bowl and mix with a spatula.
If the mixture is too thick, add a bit of water or more coconut oil. If you like, you may add some chopped nuts (such as peanuts) for an extra crunch.
For smooth textured balls, skip the nuts, use coconut flour instead of desiccated coconut and oat flour instead of porridge oats.
You can coat the balls with extra cocoa powder or coconut flour. The balls work great for a post-workout, earl morning, or mid afternoon energy snack but also they are perfect to make for sharing or to have with your tea or coffee. Share, and enjoy!
