A huge congratulations to British hanglider pilot Steven Blackler winning the 2019 New Zealand National Hanglider Competitions in style, flying the flag proudly for Drink Baotic and #TeamGB ????????????????????
Steven maintained the lead from day 2, after coming 1st in a 71.3km task, followed by two 70km completed tasks and a successful 137.1km flight task to goal on the final day to take home the title at Mt Murchison.
The New Zealand competition follows us supporting Steve’s flights in previous years including Tolmezzo Italy in 2018 as part of his retrieval support team, and helps us further understand the fitness and nutrition required for elite and extreme sport athletes.
Baotic’s mission is to inspire and empower healthy communities across the world. In addition to our healthy baobab drinks and fruit powders, and Gambian community development projects it is an honor to support the development of amateur sports and fitness. In addition to British hanglider pilots this also includes the 2019 MegaMeterRun and a number of Team GB triathlon, aquathlon and ironman athletes.
