SNOW Cancelled – but announcing 4 NEW awards!

– – By Paul Blackler

Well, well, well, it was a brave battle but the ‘Beast From The East’ proved victorious and we are really disappointed that the ‘Glasgow Allergy and Free From Show’ has been cancelled due to public safety (and the halt of the nation generally! brrrrrr).

Due to be our official launch event, we were sooooo looking forward to seeing many old and new customers and friends, so thanks for all the engagement and we hope to see you at one of the health, vegan, sports and food and drink events lined up for the remainder of 2018.

This was one of those ‘pinch yourself’ moments in the entrepreneurial journey as we had slogged it out to get so many things ready, excited to bring our new delicious drinks to a healthy marketplace. The start-up journey has a beautiful way of throwing curve balls, and you just have to roll with it.

Onward and upwards, we will be launching our new website and online shop in approximately 10 days time, and we can start to focus more on retail channels – and meeting the Baotic drinks demand that continues to come in.

In other SUPER exciting news, whilst busy innovating our products ready for launch we have been quietly picking up more amazing award recognition. This continues to blow our mind.

Isatou is soon to write a blog on her business journey, and that deep routed connection to her home land The Gambia. As her husband and partner, it’s safe for me to say she has made a number of sacrifices and taken a number of risks during and post University to follow a ‘non-conventional’ safer route to employment amidst her ambitions to support her family and village back home. This will give her the stability and support to scale Baotic one step closer to those dreams. I couldn’t be more happy for her personally, as well as the business, she deserves it!

Here’s the moment we found out the news…

Investing Women – Ambition: Student Winner!

Our Isatou doesn’t stop there, she’s on a roll! She has been awarded winner in the Investing Women Student category 2018 to be presented at their annual conference and awards dinner on 8th March.

Scottish SME Awards: Finalist small business of the year 2018

Little did we know this was a public vote, and so this one means a great deal to us because we have somehow been nominated and have been picking up votes over the last couple of months. Winners are announced 28th March, at the Crown Plaza Glasgow.

It’s still early in our journey but we must be doing something right. We are truly grateful. Thank you.

Food Industry Innovation 2018 – National £5k grant Finals

We are over the moon to have reached the finals in the Food Innovation Network (FIN) Awards and will be pitching at their innovation voucher finals to an exciting panel of amazing judges (including Sainsbury’s, Coca Cola, Nestle, Unilever, Mondelez, Greencore, Velcourt). Our entry is to secure funding to continue our exciting work in the research area of guthealth, something we are super passionate about.

Showcasing on the 7th March in Manchester it is set to be an incredible experience.

And finally we are happy to announce that the winners of our recent social media free Baotic drinks giveaway are:
